With heavy fog rolling in around 2 and engulfing Poma 1 mid-station, we closed early today. Ski Patrol close upper part of Poma 1 at 10 due to snow conditions. Skiing was wet cement with record of 6 runs before exhaustion set in. All smiles today around the fire.
We will have Poma 1 to mid-station and the T-bar open tomorrow, with the handle tow running til 10 for those not wanting to lug gear up the hill. We had a few cars get stuck in the slush so please be cautious in the upper parking lot when dropping off. We expect conditions to be the same tomorrow.
Someone left a pair of skis with telemark bindings in the outside ski rack. They have been locked up in the office for safekeeping. Owner may claim in person or schedule a day/time for pickup at hickorysc2@gmail.com.
