Friday Flurries: OPENING DAY

FRIDAY FLURRIES  February 28, 2025

OPENING DAY:  March 8, 2025!

It’s been a long “pre-season” for us, but finally we are ready to spin the lifts.  Calling all lifties, volunteers and ski patrol to e-mail: hickorysc2@gmail.com by Wednesday, March 5th so we can insure we have coverage to have a successful opening weekend.   Because we have been delayed for so long, we have lost lift attendants to other areas, so please help if you have a couple of hours or more to lend a hand.  Saturday and Sunday hours of operation: 9-4.

The portal for IndyPass reservations will be open on Monday, March 3rd.  Day tickets will be available for purchase on-site.   Adults $70, $35 for any 4 hour block.  Seniors 70+ $45, 17 and under ski free.

There are no ski/board rentals available.  We do have a limited number of snowshoes and helmets for rent.

The other really good news we received this week – we received our permit to allow 4 spaces for either RV overnight parking or tent camping.  We will be using a third party reservation system which should be set up in the coming week.

The second showing of “Reviving the Legend” the Hickory documentary by film producer Ian McGrew was a huge success  tonight at Tannery Pond with a full house.  Thanks to Gore Mountain for its support for the event and Tannery Pond for its generous donation, as well as all those who donated or bought merchandise.   The stories of different families who grew up skiing at “the Hill” keep the Legend alive.

We are looking for a great spring skiing season, stop In and check out the best little Mountain in the North Country where riding up is as challenging as sliding down.
