News from Hickory!

We have just received notification from the Warren County Youth Board that the Hickory Legacy Foundation has been awarded a grant for the implementation of a youth disc golf program beginning next summer.  The program will include a skills development clinic, regional youth league development and weekly competitions and tournaments.  We are excited for this new recreational and sport development opportunity for local youth in support of healthy lifestyles for our local communities.  More information will be available in the spring.

Mark your calendar and add Hickory Holiday to your event calendar.   We are again participating in the Christmas in Warrensburg celebration on December 8th from 10-2.   If you are looking to market, sell or inform attendees at Hickory Holiday, email hickorysc2@gmail.com by Monday, November 18th so you can be included in the Warrensburg Chamber marketing for the event.  There will be food and beverages, Hickory swag, ski equipment, books, and miscellaneous offered for sale.

Hickory Holiday will be your final opportunity to purchase discounted season passes.  Prices will go up by $50 for each category beginning on December 9th.   You can also pick up previously purchased season passes.  Remember to register anyone 17 and under for their free season passes on our website or in person during the Hickory Holiday event.

We are starting to receive inquiries from IndyPass holders about local accommodations, places to eat and rentals so we encourage any related businesses to advertise on our website for direct connection with thousands of potential customers at really reasonable annual cost. https://skihickory.com/pages/website-advertising

We are plotting out tent camping/RV parking locations for our submission to the Warrensburg Planning Board for review.  The firewood cairns in the small parking lot are not for signal fires.

Our insurance applications have been submitted so we should know soon whether we have been able to improve our policy terms for the coming year.  Regardless, it will be another big expense.  If you would like to support this effort, please visit our website and link to unrestricted operational expenses.  Unrestricted Operational Funds – Hickory Ski Center (skihickory.com)
