Friday Flurries: December 1, 2023

For all those waiting for our skihickory.com season pass purchasing portal to open, we are happy to announce that it will be delayed until Tuesday. There are a few things that are being finalized to make it worth the wait.

Tbar, poma 1 and handle tow all passed wire rope inspection on Wednesday. There was a tree down on cables on poma2 which is now clear and being rewired tomorrow. Inspectors will return to finish this part of the process. State inspection of lifts is tentatively scheduled for the week of December 11th.

All those patrollers out there, it's time to connect to organize for the season, pending a successful fundraising campaign and lift certification. Email to confirm your interest.in this volunteering opportunity. We intend to operate 2-8 on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays, 9-8 on Saturday and 9-4 Sundays. As always, Mother Nature will determine our opening date.

We also intend to offer learn to ski lessons so we are also collecting names of anyone interested in instruction.

We are incredibly grateful for all of those who have donated or made purchases to bring us closer to reaching our funding goal.

Look for a popup Christmas Bazaar at Hickory on December 16th, co-sponsored by the Thurman Connection Snowmobile Club. We still have vendor space available for flea market items, arts, crafts, winter sports equipment, food, anything that is left from your wares at Christmas in Warrensburg tomorrow. Hickory merchandise will be on sale at a pre-Christmas discount. If all goes according to plan you can purchase and/or pick up your season passes.

Crossing fingers and toes and doing a snow dance.
